Show Kite

Upon gusty winds upward the kites flew

with fluttering sail, taunt string, feisty tail.

Like Spitfires their courses elevation,

Dragons mount the breeze golden green, deep blue.

First flight adventures materials frail;

Climb higher each ellipse elongation.

Spectators relish the dare-devilry–

too high to descend, stronger winds prevail.

Cut line, kite drifts its own destination

long distance flight late night delivery,

sans sun.
