When Ellis spied the big dumpster—
she hoped for riches and splendor.
She dove right in and
popped back up again,
with smiles and a magic mirror.
The mirror was never a jest
a magician gave it a toss.
It cursed horrible, terrible, foul
Ellis painted it pink anyhow,
now it hangs, so proud, un-distressed.
