April 6, 2018
Today I will haul wood for the stove. I split kindling and prepare dry wood to make it easy to start a fire in the firebox.
I will be glad to haul mulch for the flower gardens borders. It will be a change of pace to prepare the rows for the garden, peas, corn, and beans.
The soil has been turned there has been good rain and snow.
All of the tools are ready at their racks. Scarecrow has a new hat. The compost awaits its debut.
I hope my back holds out once the growing season switches from the snowing season.
We have one to three inches of snow forecast for April 6 around midnight and all morning April 7.
In the garden I have some turnips and lots of icicles.
I still wear insulated gloves. I may regret no cool days come July.
